I missed the place so much...
An escape, a sanctuary without the utter noise and confusion in the city -- Pulau Ubin.
Yes, there are glitches that got ppl. mad, angry and pissed:
-There was the rain that drowned everything.
-There were the technical faults...Even my dad's cam was spoilt.
-There were the hungry times. *grumbles*
-There's this constant lack of sleep.
Thinking back about it, I wondered why had I even enjoyed the ordeal:
-The chance to be with good company? The great instructors @ OBS and kawaii Miko.
-The opportunity to be with great friends? Rong was my boat and video companion.
-The rare contact with Mother Nature? 3 whole days @ Pulau Ubin.
-The lessons I've learnt? As an observer, I marvelled at the lessons I'm taught unconsciously thru looking at the activities.
-Pure fun? I loved every min on the island. I loved the stars that glowed at night, with the moon by their side; The friends I have beside me; The nature showed to us by Wee Ling; The music played from the radio by Jon; The ever smiling Louis; The ever helpful and sweet Miko; The super responsible Wai On; The fun-loving participants who nv complain, becoz they noe that everyone else's just as drained and dirty and tired; The great Team Trumps that continued in their rafting endeavour despite having half of their bodies submerged in the sea water for almost 3 hours; The great display of perserverance and the acknowledgement of friendship; The precious food that came after every strenuous activity; The chance at being an observer at a fun and knowledge-filled camp; The opportunity of being entrusted with a filming task....
Perhaps I can nv say enough to justify my own stand - My missing of the island..
Time flies and memories are fading fast. Just hoping that whatever the rest of you had felt after the filming trip, nv forget to give thanks for a chance of being there. May sound so cliche... so "inspirational card". Still...
We have been given many chances in Life to 'SEE' things. To step back and 'OBSERVE' our every decision. It's just up to individuals to 'NOTICE' and 'REFLECT' and to 'UNDERSTAND'. Perhaps this was our chance... can you see already?
