TRaLala~ Caught 3 movies this month~! CoOL stuff...
.CARS.
A 2 hours long animation brought to u by.... PIXAR~!!! and walt disney...
Got some really cool songs inside, fav. of many? "A Long time ago, but not so long ago......."
LOL.
The plot on the whole's rather bland, as in not entirely original. It's the usual, badass hero that finally realized that Life's not just about Me, Myself and I. But catch those tiny stories (and lines) woven in between, they're touching and really sweet~ It's already worth up to 7.50bucks. Holy PoRsche!!!
Spice it up with some awesome (geez, i hate tht word) sound effects and almost realistic modelling/rendering, the VRRooM vvRRrOoOm is thoroughly convincing. NeAt! A 8.50bucks movie on the whole~
.THE OMEN .
I hate movies that comes with the THE word up in front. it's like, Oh Geez... I dunno what this is? Maybe... it's THE MOVIE? ShEeSh. Plot goes something like this, upfront and forward. There's something wrong with this child!!!
Yup. And everyone, except the actor (note: no 's'), knew just what's wrong with Damien, the spawn of the Demon, who's constantly dressed looking like Chucky. Ohh the irony...
Cool editing though, the speed cut, the interjection of mild humour and light scenes right before a big wHooHa can catch many off guard. Story is fast paced, so it's good for those who can't stand suspense...
Still, i can't understand one tiny detail. WHY DOES IT LOOK SO MUCH LIKE FINAL DESTINATION??? mEHh. Ok.. i'm good. Go watch to find out...
.SILENT HILL.
The loudest movie I've ever watched. The definite opposition to aural therapy. But the kick is in the sound man... And though I'm no gamer... I can see why Silent Hill fans are going GaGa over this.
IT LOOKS LIKE A GAME.
The scenes, the characters (I love the ripper which took form of Sharon and Eliz... bah..I can't remember her name. SauCy~), even the creatures, they actually move like those weird, scary, stuff-squirting things in games.. gArH. The pains that Christophe Gans took...
Subtle seems like the last word used to describe this loud and stomach-turning movie. But subtle it is, to be able to re-create a game on big screen that actually convinced the fans. wOoT!
Simple and straight forward plot:
Sleepwalking (adopted)daughter caused distressed mother to bring her to the place in which she believe can rid her of the illness, a ghost town of a place where supposedly, underground fires still raged, leaving it dangerous for any human being to live in. She ignores the protest of husband and finally arrived at the town.
A car-crash, mother wakes up to find beloved daughter missing. AHHh~!!!! And so she began to read the lines in the script which mainly consist of... "SHARoOON~!!!" and "Hey...HEY! SHAROOooOON~!!!!!!" you get the point. A siren sounded, and suddenly thingss.... come to life in this sleepy, ash-ridden town. Creatures from the inferno of hellish realm..Creatures that kill, slaughter, skin and torture...
Scared. Trapped. And highly dillusional.
Mother escapes, still reading off the lines of the script, got caught up by a hot police officer named Cybil, or Sybil.. can't remember... Both of them finally got the understanding and trust of each other and sets off to find... Non other than, Sharon. They barely escaped a second Darkness and found out that there are other human beings still alive. Human beings who sought the refuge of a church whenever Darkness falls and there and there, the secret of the dark town's revealed.
I personally liked the ending, a hollow, hopeless kind of disturbing end which says... "Try as you might, you won't be able to escape. So might as well, (like the tagline of the movie) enjoy your stay~"
Don't go for the story, for there'd be non. Ghost Town, Missing Child, Secret. Try instead for the stunning and highly graphic visual effects, sound and music...you'd be well-rewarded.
