the SEM ends...

The final closure of NTU, ADM Year 2 Sem 1 for the year 2006. DATE: 26th Nov 2006

"There is more to see than can ever been seen, More to do, than can ever be done..."

- Yup... it summarizes what we've been thru this sem.. I think.

Ohh well... a couple of days ago.. we screened our own short films and also animations and displayed photographs and designs tht we made over the sem. I'd nv been more proud of my fellow schoolmates.

Touched is the word when you see the auditorium being filled up nearly to the max. And pple. clapping and cheering you on when u went up the stage, thanking them in return. The tedious, sweat and work laden process rewarded. It's a really great feeling...

Elgin's short film "Nineteen, Twenties" won this yr's Cannon's Point & Shoot Camera. I loved his film. His approach to the subject matter, or rather, theme in this case is ultra sensitive. Beautiful visuals and convincing narration. A truely beautiful film...

There are a couple others which left a deep impression in my mind, Jia Hui's "δΌ΄", Michael's "Cold Talk", Danny's "Hangman", ShiQi's "Melancholia", Annette's "Mother", ZiHan's "Embryo" and Hanafi's "Fin." Also... the rest of the class did really good, our short films came out and around and we're all proud of it, a round of applause to each and everyone!

Then there's StopMotion exhibit.. OMG.. u guys roc for having the ability to put up such a great show in juz 3 months.. There are some ultra goOd work with Industrial standards... Like WeiKeong's "White".. WhOooOhooo!!!

And there's 3D production despite the tempermental Maya and stuffy workplace.. YuAnWen, YaoCheng and Sara Chong...u guys nailed it!!!

Photographers' display was equally amazing.. Alexcia and Aida's were really beautiful and engaging.

Figure Painting class's gorgeous exhibit of Oil Painted Models were astounding, Steffi and Julianne did really well.

Lastly, there's the digital painters: WeiHao, Raymond, Royston, Siyuan and many others... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

After the whole sem which was unanimously agreed to be labelled under inhumanely stressful and physically draining... A few of us students - 20 to be exact... went off to join the FLY BY NIGHT VIDEO CHALLENGE 2006. Haha... Can u believe it?? Ohh well... Things pple. do.. But anyways.. it's been a really rewarding experience and we all come to learn about working with limited resources and time and stuff.. But it's great.. We've all had fun and this event's made our bond even closer. Anyway... 3 out of 5 teams from ADM got the top 10 short films award for the event!! Cheers To evErYoNe!!! and i also wanna thank Chia who's there for us till 6 am.. whilst we film at an insanely slow pace just because our mind's no longer functioning that well with 3 to 5 days of sleepless nights.. Haha... *Happiness* But well.. it's over now... And I'm sure we all learnt more than a thing or two from the overall experience. Hope we'll keep living life like so... pursuing our dreams and being productive all at once!

Cheerio~!
